Shani Francis, MD, MBA is a board-certified dermatologist with personal interests in quality of life, hair loss, health care disparities, and holistic dermatology. Her diverse background spans biochemical engineering, nanotechnology, healthcare quality and patient safety, product development, and NASA and clinical trials research.

Dr. Francis is a graduate of Wake Forest Medical School, earned an MBA from Auburn University and completed internship and residency at The University of Chicago Hospitals, where she served as chief resident. She regularly interacts with media to create practical, informative education about dermatologic diseases that have significant impact on quality of life. She occasionally discusses important hair and skin health topics on Doctors Radio, and has been quoted in many publications including: The NY Times, Good Housekeeping, Health, Today.com, Costco Connections, WebMD, and US News and World Report.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, painting, traveling, and spending quality family time with her husband and children as they explore the world and celebrate life.
