This salon is a MUST in any curly girl’s life in NJ or NY! I had my first visit there a week ago. I checked their great Yelp reviews and great Deva reviews and called for an appointment. I have extremely tight curls and have left many hair salons in tears (poodle is not a good look for me). My experience has been that the first thing a salon wants to do is straighten my curls. Rebekah asked me about my hair, the products I use and how I like to style it. She then proceeded to give me the BEST hair cut of my life followed by a great shampoo and conditioning. While Rebekah introduced me to some new Deva products—explaining each item as she applied it—she didn’t push product on me. The salon is bright, cheerful and professional. The owner was working there as well and clearly knows her way around a pair of scissors too. The price was more than reasonable. Who can say about a salon in NJ? Do yourself a favor: go to Jersey Curl salon.
