At my friend's recommendation, I started going to Maggie three years ago. She made me feel immediately comfortable, and it was clear she knew her stuff! I had always thought of my hair as wavy and no one had every talked to me about my type of curl. After the first cut, I was hooked forever! It was completely different than any other cut I'd gotten before and I felt gorgeous. Maggie always does a thorough job of teaching me how to best care for my type of hair (I need lots of help!) She has also done the American Wave for me several times. I've gotten so many compliments on it, and the best part is that no one believes it's a perm. I have recommended Maggie to several friends and will continue to do so. She is a consummate professional in every way.

I first started seeing Maggie while I was in college at Notre Dame in 2008. After having constantly experienced poof ball frizzy hair that was cut by people who just wanted it to be straight, I found Maggie. Driving forty plus minutes from campus was a sacrifice, but after the first visit, I knew I had found my dream stylist. She explained what was going on with my hair, directed me to products and gave me quick styling tips that I could do on my own. My roommate in college was so impressed that she came with me to see Maggie after getting her curls styled in LA for years. Maggie was just the same with her, explaining what would work and what wouldn’t in terms of style, never rushing an appointment and always making sure we were completely satisfied. After moving to Dallas post college, I found myself back in Michiana this summer. After a horrible color experience elsewhere, I reached out to Maggie who was able to fit me in within less than a week. She worked with me for over three hours to fix my color disaster, gave me a great (much needed) cut and style and make me feel like myself again. Maggie knows what she is doing with curls—she’s not going to agree to do something that will damage your hair—she will explain your options, and make sure that you are happy with what is going on. Her salon has always been quick to get back to me in terms of scheduling, the ladies at Cutting Edge are always working together to make sure every customer is happy and has an enjoyable experience. I was feeling really discouraged about my hair when I went to the salon today. My husband has been telling me to go to cutting edge for awhile know but I haven’t had the time to go. Today I had my first hair cut with Maggie. She taught me how to style my hair and gave me the curls I never thought I could have. She cut my hair differently then anyone ever has. I’m really excited to show off my curls and let my hair do what it always has wanted to do Thrive!

I was introduced to Maggie 5 years ago by a close friend. I was very hesitant to have my hair worked on as I have had very bad experiences in the past. After my first appointment with her I learned many things about my hair that I otherwise never knew before. She allowed me to read her Deva Curl book, which I then purchased myself. We have experimented different products through Deva to master what I liked most. She has consistently been available to me when I need a refresher or we noticed that I needed to switch products depending what the season was. I have referred many Curly girls to her along with my sister who has the same type of issues I had before meeting Maggie. She is very knowledgeable in the Deva line and I cannot wait for my next visit with her.
