I have been to this salon for several times, I trust Jim’s expertise and every single time I walk out with a great haircut that grows out nicely. At this area, he was the only hairdresser who cut my hair with evenly amazing layers and shape so far. He is attentive and professional who is truly passionate about precision haircut. He showed me how his Dyson Hairdryer works for drying curls because it drys them quickly and doesn’t blow the hair around too much, absolutely leaves the curls glossy and undisturbed after diffused. Transformation and styling with Devacurl products, it takes time but the salon has a relaxing and comfortable environment that allowed me to enjoy the lengthy process. I appreciated the time Jim and his assistant took to take care my hair.

I was booking an appointment with Jim for curly haircut six months ago and I come back for cut & color. He adding round layers to dense my hair, which actually decreases the volume when styled correctly. It was a pleasure and I love my results. Even after a few months, my hair still look in a good shape with the amazing layers. After that, as I recommended this salon to my mom, she was full of anticipation but this time there was a lady named Aury did her curly cut. She was happy to answer all the questions which made her feel so comfortable. BUT, my mom didn’t got the result she was expected. Aury absolutely spend her time, she was friendly and talkative, but we don’t think she knows cutting hair, she even didn’t know what she was doing and cut my mom’s hair laminated and the layers completely disconnected. My advice to those who are booking a service here, if you are looking for a talented stylist to cutting your hair, Jim would never let you down. BUT, stay away from Aury, she cutting hair completely untechnical.

Writing this review because this salon gave me a difference experience compared to what I used to had. I used to went to another curly hair salon near this area, the stylist gave me the amazing curls in my life ever, but I was shocked to know that the stylist created my curls with curling iron after applying the Devacurl products and diffused. Yes, with Curling Iron, and that’s why the curls came out gorgeous lol. I was glad with the result but ridiculously. Actually, the transformation helps to prove that a fresh Devacut can truly bring that beautiful bounce back, that’s what I expected, so just don’t understand why the stylist used the curling iron to my curls??? I come to this salon cuz my best friends highly recommended Jian Jim to me for the haircut. To my amazement and satisfaction, it was a journey to healthy curls, his dry cut technique remove only what’s necessary for volume and shape. Ditch the tools & use fingers to detangle and style my curls with Devacurl products which encourage smoothness and curls clumping. My curls came out in their nature state with a fresh new perspective & a healthy look. That’s the power of transformation. But what I highly recommended was Jim’s haircut skills, to me, a very critical person, his haircut was impeccable!!! Overall, very nice experience at this salon. To all curly girls: if you need a Devacut, don’t go to the salon which created your curls with curling iron even it looks incredibly gorgeous, a specialist never transformed your curls with curling iron but to their natural state and healthy curls with their bounce back.
