Amanda cut my hair well and was polite. Her styling instruction was helpful too! My issue is that when coming in for a devacut, I expected more DevaCurl products. The salon had a total of four products on hand. I have more than that in my own house. I’m totally fine with using other brands, but she tried to use another brand that I knew had silicones. She corrected me and said the brand’s curl products didn’t. When washing my hair, she gave me a choice of the other brand’s conditioners w/o silicone to use since they had no DC. I chose one and looked up the ingredients later. Low and behold, it had dimethicone in it. I’m not DC exclusive, but I should be able to trust that my hairstylist knows what silicones are and what products have them. Now I have to do a reset wash with sulfates, making my hair brittle and dry, all to get out the silicone she put in my hair.

Amanda did a great job. I was nervous since I am new in town. She was great! Best cut I had done in a long time.

I was nervous and hesitant to get a deva cut. A regular stylist just want working anymore. I got in touch with Amanda through Facebook, and decided to give it a try. My hair looks awesome! Even without product it still looks great.
