Came here for a deva cut, since the salon is closer to me than the deva salon in NYC. It was my 2nd time with Jenny, who’s very nice. I’ve been getting deva cuts for about 6 years so I’m used to the “cut to the curl” technique and have been glad to find a “Deva Salon” so close to home. I hated my curls until I switched to Deva products and technique. Only downfall is the stylist just layered my hair dry as any salon would. When I asked why she wasn’t cutting it to the curl she said my hair wasn’t curly enough. (?). I let her finish and trusted the stylist until I washed/styled my hair - it looks like a disaster. I spoke to the owner who wasn’t willing to give me a refund, despite my disappointment, so I now have to go to another salon to have it salvaged. The owners response was “stylists can use any curly technique when cutting hair”. While that’s true, if a paying customer asks for a deva cut that’s what she should get. My family even told me my hair looked “botched” over the holidays. Their salon shouldn’t be featured on this website since they cut the hair however they want. If I could upload a picture I would.
