My stylist was great! She did the dry cut and even though she herself doesn’t have curly hair was knowledgeable about it. Unfortunately this salon only offers the DevaCut (dry cut) but does not use any DevaCurl products. I wasn’t expecting this, as my understanding of a DevaCut meant from start to finish everything DevaCurl. The cut was good but this is my first time getting a curly haircut so I’m not sure how others will find it. I expected more DevaCurl in the cut as I really enjoy their products but the stylist used B.B. Curl (which is not curly girl method approved) and Aveda products. I don’t think it’s overly fair to use the DevaCurl name and not provide a true DevaCurl haircut - especially because I’m not even sure these products are silicone and sulfate free. I was okay with paying $70 on a DevaCut because it was my first cut in over a year, especially since I started staying natural...but I somehow feel a little cheated because of no DevaCurl products. Just beware of this and if it doesn’t matter to you, then go for it!
